Alexander Luna Garcia, Sales GI Robots & Products, YASKAWA Europe GmbH

Interview with YASKAWA

You’ve been exhibiting at Motek for many years. Which opportunities does Motek offer you for your products and your company?

We’ve been represented at Motek as robot manufacturers right from the very start. Motek is one of our most important trade fairs in the German-speaking countries where robots for handling applications are concerned. We field lots of concrete RFQs for authentic projects every year, as well as terrific feedback from our guests at the Yaskawa booth in hall 7.

What’s your initial experience with Motek-Virtual?

We’re very pleased that Motek-Virtual has been launched, and that we can be part of it. The platform is simple and functional. Visitors find their way around very quickly.

Which opportunities does the virtual format offer you?

As is probably also the case with all of our competitors, our opportunity lies in the fact that we’re unable to exhibit anywhere live on-site this year. The virtual format is of course a great way to provide partners, customers and other interested parties with news about our company, and to get in touch with people.

Tell us about the highlights in your showroom.

  • Attention is clearly focused on our two new SCARA models, namely the MOTOMAN SG400 and the MOTOMAN SG650. In addition to our extremely compact MotoMINI robot, these round out our already broad-based robot portfolio at the bottom end.
  • Like our other models, the current YRC1000 controller makes them fast, precise and inexpensive.
  • Our product range also includes collaborative robots MOTOMAN HC10 and MOTOMAN HC20DT – because Yaskawa Robotics is playing a significant role in this trend as well.

Can we expect further new products and highlights in your showroom?

We’ll be presenting the previously mentioned MOTOMAN HC20DT in our showroom – an unrivalled collaborative robot with a load capacity of 20 kg and IP 67 protection.

Have you planned any webcasts which Motek-Virtual’s visitors can look forward to?

We haven’t planned any webcasts. We invite all of our visitors to contact us directly. Since everyone has individual questions, we’re happy to provide answers bilaterally and in a customer-specific manner.

What are you especially looking forward to at Motek 2021 (if participation is planned)?

The joy of communicating face-to-face with lots of returning and new expert visitors. As Dale Carnegie said in the 1990s: “Seeing one another once is better than hearing from each other a hundred times.”
