10th OPTATEC: 15 through 18 June 2010 in Frankfurt: Registrations are coming in at full bore – event offers an “Outlook Beyond One’s Current Horizons” – newly founded knowledge forum promotes active between the promoter and science
The OPTATEC international trade fair for future optical technologies, components, systems and manufacturing has established itself as an industry meeting place with international appeal in the even numbered years. At the last event in June 2008, 524 companies from 28 countries presented their offerings to 5569 expert visitors. The registration process is already running at full bore for the upcoming OPTATEC 2010 – 14 months before the event opens, exhibitor numbers achieved in 2008 are already within reach.
The development of optical technologies and peripheral components is advancing rapidly, and this progress needs to be implemented as quickly as possible in the form of marketable solutions and products which offer significant benefits. For this reason, private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG continue to focus on the optical technologies, but will also dare to look beyond the industry’s own current horizons.
Market opportunities abound!
Great opportunities for manufacturers and users alike are associated with current trends in the fields of photovoltaic, fibre optics, LED technology and safety technology, all of which continue to grow, and mustn’t be left by the wayside – especially in times of an economic downturn. And that’s why greater emphasis will be focused upon these trends at OPTATEC 2010. Furthermore, the exhibition portfolio has been expanded to include “Fields of Application for Optical Technologies” in order to accelerate the technology transfer and to generate a market, and thus the industry’s own economic situation, as soon as possible on the basis of R&D knowledge.
New: “Knowledge Forum” Intensifies Contact with Science
In addition to the technical advisory board with members from renowned industry companies, the knowledge forum has taken on an advisory function for the first time as well, within which an active exchange amongst science and the trade fair promoter is concentrated. Above all, the knowledge forum has set itself the goal of filtering out new scientific trends, and offering all of OPTATEC’s exhibitors and visitors an even more attractive supplementary programme.
Members of the newly founded committee are Dr.-Ing. Olaf Dambon from the Fraunhofer IPT, Dieter W. Frank from Frank Optic Products GmbH, Dr. Peter Hartmann from SCHOTT AG, Prof. Dr. Norbert Kaiser from the Fraunhofer IOF, Dr.-Ing. Andreas Ostendorf from the Ruhr University in Bochum and Prof. Dr. Thomas Sure from the Technical College in Gießen-Friedberg.
